Vote-by-Mail Options and Where to Vote in Person
TIME TO VOTE!
If you return your Vote-by-Mail Ballot through the US Postal Service, it must be postmarked on or before Election Day, November 8, and received by the Registrar of Voters office no later than 3 days after Election Day. Postage is required.
Options for returning your Vote-by-Mail Ballot without postage:

Deposit your ballot in any ballot drop-box location: There is one in central Piedmont at Highland Way and Mountain Avenue next to the postal boxes (see photo below), also 1221 Oak Street in Oakland or 1333 Park Avenue in Emeryville.

Turn in your ballot at any polling place in Alameda County, including Piedmont, from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.on Election Day!

Take your ballot to the Registrar of Voters office, located at 1225 Fallon Street, Rm. G-1, in downtown Oakland, during business hours; 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
